Facebook cam chat
By Carolyn Abram Video Chat is a fairly new addition to Facebook, which is why you might or might not see the video camera icon at the top of each Chat window.
Facebook’s Video Chat is actually powered by Skype, an Internet telephone service.
The addition of video chat follows an April update that first added group calling to Messenger.
Prior to that add-on, Facebook’s app was only capable of making one-on-one audio calls.
Video and audio chatting are now possible in Facebook thanks to Skype integration and Facebook Video Chat simply offers an alternative way of doing it.
If you see the video icon, you can initiate Video Chat with your friends: If you’ve already set up video calling, this begins the call.In the mobile space, Facebook is dealing with a whole other breed of competitor.Snapchat added video calling earlier this year, while Whats App just made the feature available widely to the public last month. There is also one notable i OS-only feature: live masks.Similar to Snapchat filters that animate a visual overlay over your face in real time, Facebook’s live masks will go one step further and augment the live video chat with whatever goofy animation you’d like to place on the screen. In Facebook video chat, choose Many Cam Virtual Webcam or Many Cam Video Source from the list of available video sources in the video window.
